About

Who is behind RAPIA

A Congolese agency backed by a group that runs its own products — and would rather say what it cannot do than let you assume otherwise.

The agency

RAPIA is the artificial intelligence division of Rapyogo SARL, a company incorporated under Congolese law and registered in Goma. It operates from three locations — Goma, Kinshasa, Lubumbashi — with companies, NGOs, institutions and independent professionals.

The work fits in one sentence: moving an organisation from the stage where someone asks an assistant questions, to the stage where systems actually carry out work. In between there are processes to map, data to connect and teams to train. That is where we come in.

We resell no licences and are tied to no vendor. The model we choose depends on the problem to solve, not on a commercial agreement.

A group that uses what it sells

Most AI agencies have never had to run an AI system under real constraints: traffic, dropped connections, thin margins, users with no time to learn. Rapyogo has. Each service in the group has its own domain, and the artificial intelligence they run is the one we build.

The founder

Michel BenganaFounder and CEO of Rapyogo SARL

Michel Bengana was born and raised in Bukavu. A psychology graduate, he turned to entrepreneurship for a simple reason: that is where he could take on the problems he saw every day.

His first venture, a fast-food outlet, showed him what was wrong with food delivery in the DRC: waste, delays, and a service out of reach for people with reduced mobility. In 2023 he launched Rapyogo Food — now Viteat — to answer it: dark kitchens, a dedicated fleet, electric motorbikes, and AI running dispatch.

As a person with albinism in a society where that still invites prejudice, he made inclusion a design criterion rather than a talking point: the group's products are built first for the people standard services leave out.

RAPIA grew out of that path. A psychology background is no detour for an AI agency: most projects fail not on the technology, but because nobody looked at how a team actually works before handing it a tool.

Recognitions

These recognitions went to the founder and to the Rapyogo group — not to RAPIA as an AI agency. We cite them because they say something about how we work, not to pass them off as artificial intelligence awards.

What we do not publish

A consultancy is judged on its evidence. Here is the real state of ours — and the rule we hold ourselves to before publishing anything.

  • No performance figure appears on this site unless it comes from a measured engagement and has been approved by the client concerned.
  • No testimonial or client logo is published without written consent from the organisation named.
  • The recognitions above link to the body that awarded them, and state plainly what they reward — the group, not the agency.
  • An absence on this page is a real absence, not an outdated update.

A question about how we work?

The first conversation is about understanding your situation. It commits you to nothing and requires no preparation.
